The start of a new series to help small business owners in Hawaii make the most of their marketing and advertising opportunities.
Put your website address (domain name, www.yourdomainhere.com, etc.), on every possible piece of paper or communication device, including, websites, brochures, business cards, letterheads, invoices, newspaper and/or other print ads, yellow pages advertisements, receipts etc. Anything and everything. Get your brand’s website address noticed locally and watch your business grow globally.
Decals on your car (tax write off), custom license plate holder, sponsor your local canoe club, or school baseball star. Think outside the box.
One more thing - always be consistent with your company name, domain name and email address.
Here’s an example of what not to do:
Company name: Vitamark International
Web address: jcihawaiihi.com
Email address: cjwash@gmail.com
What’s wrong with that line up?
Technical Support: Call your hosting company where your website is hosted, such as Go Daddy, BlueHost, Network Solutions, etc. and ask them to show you how to set up your email accounts to go with your domain name. If you’re web savvy – go to your hosting company’s website and follow their menu to the email category (after you log in) an set up your emails (info@yourdomainname.com, sales@yourdomainname.com, etc.). We have yet to find a hosting company that does NOT provide email accounts with hosting – so if you have a website, and a unique domain name – get on it!
