More Than Just  Cup of Joe …

Athena Of Hawaii was founded in 2004 and is named after a real Hawaiian girl, Joachim and Demetria’s daughter, who helps out on the farm on weekends and after her homework is done. Pure, 100% Kona coffee from Athena of Hawaii offers a traditional product from an authentic Hawaiian family farm. All of their coffee cherries are handpicked, wet-processed and fermented, sun-dried and certified by the state. The 3,000 coffee trees, most of them 100 years old or older, are free of pesticides, herbicides and genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

The coffee is wrapped in a handmade kapa bag, made out of hammered tree bark in a labor intense Polynesian tradition ~ totally recycable and not harming the trees either. Most likely this coffee farm is the only one who are using this ancient material for packaging in the world .  As a gift, Athena Of Hawaii is available in a handmade, naturally dyed wood and reed box, which is great for keepsakes.

Owners Joachim and Demetria Oster say that drinking a cup of 100 percent Kona coffee from their Big Island farm goes beyond just sipping a cup of joe. Their coffee products, available wholesale and retail, provide an authentic Hawaiian culinary experience as well as a glimpse into Hawaii’s culture and history.

Athena of Hawaii Kona coffee recent was awarded  the HAWAII SEAL of QUALITY as the first single estate Kona coffee farm. In other words: they are doing everything by the book in the eyes of the State law and their tasty brew can certainly testify for that!
