It’s Pepeluali
It’s Pepeluali (February)
Fabulous February in Hawaii.
Please pardon us while we pick ourselves back up from the holidays. November stretched into December and then January sort of came and went and now its February ~ already. No time wasted tho ~ for the past few weeks we’ve been reviewing some particularly exciting things.
A very exciting thang is this new KonaRed drink everyone is talking about. Already a MLM (multi level marketing) company is selling an extended version, having added a bunch of other organic and healthy stuff and in different flavors (and really, they are pretty cool but not made in Hawaii so we’re going to stop talking about them). But basically it’s all about the core ingredient KonaRed coffee cherry fruit. The premium KonaRed coming from the Big Island of Hawaii.
Moving on … We fell in love with Athena Hawaii Kona Coffee – the brand, the story and their coffee, especially the wrapping the coffee comes in. Their attention to details is exceptional. With a name like Athena, you can expect a life experience of delicious coffee in every cup.
Another great addition is Ke Ola Magazine – again a Big Island discovery. Every island has their interpertation of a high end (well produced) arts magazine featuring local creatives. Ke Ola belongs to the Big Island. A fabulous publication and resource, distrubuted to over 20,000 residents and tourists 6 times a year. A magical team of wonder women make it all happen, Mahalo to Karen and Barbara. Speaking of magical moments, when you want to give the Hawaiian way of sharing special times with loved ones, it’s always about a LEI, right? Well, now you can send them to all islands and the mainland is easy, guaranteed fresh, amd from Paradise Farms, a Hawaiian favorite.
Often the best finds are right under our nose. Ululani is an artist on the Big Island. We’ve enjoyed knowing her under another identify for years and then bam! ~ we find out she’s got a whole other side to her, and we’re hooked! We think you will be too. In fact we think you’ll enjoy all our features this month. Thanks for following ReallyHawaiian.com … see you soon, at the beach, in the water, flying above, sailing aside, and shopping for everything really Hawaiian.
