Jamie Gilmore
Botanical visionary!
Jamie is an abundance of creative energy that goes way beyond the borders of a canvas. Humming our way down Alii Drive Art Walk on the Big Island we caught a glimpse of Jamie standing aside a series of artwork that dazzled our minds. We’ve never seen anything as beautifully determined; the concept and the details are exquisite. Ever since then we’ve felt inspired to look more closely at the plants around us.
All of Jamie’s life experiences, coupled with Hawaii’s amazing botanical palette, have inspired the development of her unique style. The organic symmetry of her Northern California hometown’s almond and fruit orchard are evident in the repetition of botanical farms in each of her paintings of Hawaiian botanicals. The plight of the native endangered Hawaiian plant sparks her environmental consciousness. With her art, she hopes to education herself and others about the delicate balance between development and the defenseless botanical world, one plant a time!

Big Island Biscotti
I’ve been enjoying Emily’s Big Island Biscotti treats for a few months now. The are delicious tasting and have a wonderful texture. You’d never know that they are good for you (gluten free); they are that yummy.
