The Meaning of ‘Ohana ….
A fire destroyed all by the spirit of this company’s first store in 2003. Known then as the Made in Hawaii Store, it burned to ashes, victim of arson in the former Kanda’s Delicatessen near by.
Reborn as Made in Hawaii Foods by family, friends, and dedicated employees they moved into a factory in February 2004. Today their ‘ohana has grown to over 20 employees and their product line continues to grow and prosper.
Made in Hawaii Foods is all about buying local. Their slogan “Homegrown, Homemade. Spread the Aloha.” says it all. They use home grown ingredients, manufacture it in Hawaii and spread it around the world via a tradition of bringing gifts to family and friends and visitor purchases.
